This collage is a conglomeration of some of the gloomiest moments captured through my phone. All of these are either taken post the convocation week or in the first weeks of January (when I came to the campus for the first time!) when everything was still online.
It features lone roads inundated with rain, sun rays caressing the lake water and my mind with a serene touch, starry nights as if painted by Vincent himself, empty dining hall with chairs over the tables and zipped B315.
Post the convocation week, SNU has become very silent and gloom. Silent - as if it holds a big secret to unfold. All the corridors and streets have become nada. The people who used to vibe at CnD, people who used to make out in the library (or maybe study), people who used to play in the courts have vanished suddenly (as if Thanos had snapped his fricking fingers!).
I have met many goats and ghosts during the convocation week, incredible seniors who were very supportive and sweet, and another set of incredible seniors who never reply to messages and sometimes even demotivate.
As one batch leaves from the campus, another is getting ready to move in! I bid farewell to the Class of 2022 and wish them all the very best. I can’t wait for the Class of 2026 to join our campus, for I believe that is when the gloom and silence of the campus breaks.
